  • The Harmandir Sahib, or "abode of God," is another name for the Golden Temple.The Temple was completed by the fourth Sikh Guru Guru ram das 1577. 

  • The Gurdwara was repeatedly built by the Sikhs after it became a target and destroyed several time by the Mughal & Invading Afghan.
  • Rebuilt in marble & Copper in 1809 with Gold leaf in 1830. This led to the name the Golden Temple.
