Balkot airstrikes as a result of the Pulwama terror attack
In response to the Pulwama attack, India launched the Balakot airstrike. During the airstrike, the IAF dropped bombs on Balkot and blasted Jaish-e-Mohammed training camps. During the operation, 300 to 350 terrorists were killed. India carried out the strikes across the Line of Control!
At the UN, India requested that the UN Security Council designate Jaish-e-Mohammed Chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist. China, however, vetoed the resolution. Masood's assets will be frozen if he is designated a global terrorist. He will be prohibited from traveling. He also cannot engage in an arms embargo. However, after a lengthy battle, the United Nations designated Masood as a global terrorist. However, the organization made no mention of the Pulwama attack, which designated him a terrorist. That is, he was designated a global terrorist for reasons other than the Pulwama attack.
